Abstract

L’objectif de cet article est d’élaborer un diagnostic territorial sur l’emploi à un niveau géographique très fin, celui du bassin de vie, sur la région Languedoc-Roussillon, en mobilisant deux sources administratives exhaustives qui portent sur deux populations distinctes, les demandeurs d’emploi inscrits à l’ANPE et les allocataires du RMI. Globalement, les inégalités d’accès à l’emploi selon les bassins de vie sont très marquées. Pour autant, des bassins contigus présentent des chances d’accès à l’emploi uniformément faibles ou élevées sur de larges parties de l’espace régional. La présence d’auto-corrélation spatiale dans les taux de sortie du chômage est confirmée statistiquement pour les deux populations même si la géographie du retour à l’emploi n’est pas la même pour les allocataires du RMI et pour les inscrits à l’ANPE. Nous exploitons les différences et les similarités dans les chances de retour à l’emploi des deux populations pour établir un diagnostic sur la situation des territoires.
