Die gesundheitlichen Folgen des Renteneintritts

Abstract

Der Renteneintritt bringt einige Veränderungen im Alltag mit sich, die sowohl positive als auch negative Folgen für die persönliche Gesundheit haben können. Bisherige empirische Studien kommen zu keinem eindeutigen Ergebnis. Während einige Studien negative Gesundheitseffekte zu identifizieren vermögen, lassen sich in der Mehrzahl der Untersuchungen keine oder sogar positive Effekte des Renteneintritts feststellen. Bislang völlig ungeklärt ist, wodurch sich solche Gesundheitseffekte in der Praxis erklären lassen und welche Bevölkerungsgruppen besonders betroffen sind. Erste Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass der Zugewinn an Freizeit häufig zu einem gesünderen Verhalten führt.
