La educación básica y media en Colombia: retos en equidad y calidad

Abstract

Mejorar la cantidad y la calidad de la educación es uno de los desafíos fundamentales que enfrenta Colombia en su propósito de acelerar el crecimiento económico y ofrecer mayores posibilidades de bienestar a toda la población. En lo que va corrido del presente siglo, el país ha logrado avances importantes en materia de disminución de la pobreza gracias a un ritmo favorable de crecimiento y a una mejor cobertura y focalización de los programas sociales.
