Conflicto, Sectores, Regiones y Crecimiento

Abstract

El conflicto interno en Colombia ha afectado la acumulación de capital humano, las decisiones de ahorro e inversión y la asignación sectorial y geográfica de los factores de producción. Varios autores han cuantificado los potenciales efectos de un acuerdo de paz sobre el crecimiento económico. No obstante, estos estudios suelen pasar por alto hechos importante: (i) los efectos del conflicto varían de sector en sector, (ii) la estructura sectorial de la economía tiene una tendencia clara que implica que la importancia relativa de los diferentes sectores varía a medida que la economía crece, (iii) la estructura sectorial es muy heterogénea a nivel regional. En este trabajo se propone un análisis multi-sectorial para obtener un cálculo aproximado de los réditos económicos de la paz y ordenar los sectores de la economía de acuerdo a la intensidad con la que padece el conflicto.
