Das FAZ-Ökonomenranking 2013: Eine kritische Betrachtung

Abstract

Im September 2013 veröffentlichte die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) ein neues Ökonomenranking. Dieses berücksichtigt neben der Forschungsleistung auch noch zwei weitere Aspekte: Medienpräsenz und Politikberatung. In diesem Artikel wird das FAZ‐Ranking einer kritischen Analyse unterworfen. Die Kritik bezieht sich sowohl auf die Einzelrankings als auch deren Aggregation. Anschließend wird das FAZ‐Ranking mit dem Handelsblatt‐Ranking und RePEc‐Ranking verglichen. Auf Basis der Kritik wird abschließend eine alternative Aggregationsmethode für die Einzelrankings vorgeschlagen.
