Análise Das Medidas De Renda, Distribuição E Pobreza Dos Municípios Da Área De Influência Da Barragem Castanhão Ceará

Abstract

Objetiva-se realizar o macrodiagnóstico econômico-social dos municípios que compõem a área de influência do reservatório da barragem Castanhão no Estado do Ceará. Utilizam-se dados secundários e o método descritivo para análise e discussão dos resultados, após cálculos de freqüências, tabelas e outras informações estatísticas selecionadas. Os resultados mostram que, em termos gerais, os municípios apresentaram rendas per capita muito baixas; a desigualdade de renda piorou para todos os municípios da amostra; no período de 1991 a 2002 houve melhora do IDH para todos os municípios do estudo; a percentagem de indigentes, a percentagem de pobres e as percentagens de crianças indigentes e pobres reduziram-se durante o período de 1991 a 2000; e, há um elevado percentual de pessoas com rendimentos de até um salário mínimo. This study aims to carry out the economic-social macro-assessment of the municipalities that compose the area of influence of the Castanhão dam in the State of Ceará. It was used secondary data and descriptive method for the analysis and discussion of the results, after the calculations of frequencies, tables and other selected statistical information. The results show that, in general terms, the municipalities had very low per capita incomes; the income inequality increased for all municipalities of the sample; in the period from 1991 to 2002, there was no improvement on the municipalities’ overall HDI; the percentage of indigents, the percentage of poor and the percentages of indigent and poor children reduced during the period from 1991 to 2000, and there is a high percentage of people with incomes of up to a minimum wage.
