Abstract

Leistungslöhne als Motivationsinstrument sind hinsichtlich ihrer Wirksamkeit in der ökonomischen Theorie umstritten. Mit Hilfe einer schriftlichen Befragung von 260 landwirtschaftlichen Betriebsleitern werden die Erfahrungen mit leistungsorientierter Entlohnung in der Landwirtschaft untersucht. Die Auswertung zeigt, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit der Erfahrung mit dieser Vergütungsform mit zunehmender Tierbestandesgröße steigt und mit größerer innerbetrieblicher Bedeutung des Ackerbaus sinkt. Mittels einer Clusteranalyse konnten drei Gruppen von Betriebsleiter ermittelt werden, die sich hinsichtlich ihrer Erfahrungen zu den Verhaltenswirkungen leistungsorientierter Vergütung unterscheiden.
