The Economics of Targeted Export Subsidies

Abstract

A targeted export subsidy is a subsidy provided by an exporting country to some importing countries and not to others. A simple 4-country world trade model is used to show that the economic implications of a targeted subsidy can 'differ greatly from those of a conventional export subsidy.
