Abstract

Continuous weed control strategies under uncertainty are analyzed. The analytical model considers both flexible and fixed strategies and inter-temperal relationships. At current prices annual herbicide use is optimal. At higher herbicide prices alternate year herbicide use is optimal. The framework is applicable to a wide range of pest problems.
