Abstract

Integrating baseline scheduling, schedule risk analysis and project control lies at the heart of dynamic scheduling and is the central theme of this book. This integrated project management and control approach assumes that project scheduling and control involves a continuous stream of changes and is a never-ending process to support decisions that need to be made along the life of the project. The integration of the three key components of dynamic scheduling should allow the project manager to be better prepared for unexpected changes in order to support improved corrective action decision making when the project is in trouble.
