Unternehmensmitbestimmung in Genossenschaften

Abstract

In Zeiten von Shareholder-Value und übertriebener Profitmaximierung geraten vermehrt alternative Unternehmensformen in den Mittelpunkt gesellschaftlicher Diskussion. Die vorliegende Studie beleuchtet erstmals empirisch die Praxis der Unternehmensmitbestimmung in Genossenschaften, die mindestens zweitausend Beschäftigte haben und unter das Mitbestimmungsgesetz von 1976 fallen. Ziel war einerseits, ihre wirtschaftliche Leistungsfähigkeit zu untersuchen, insbesondere in der Zeit der Wirtschafts- und Finanzkrise. Andererseits wurde das Verhältnis von Unternehmensmitbestimmung und genossenschaftlicher Demokratie analysiert und der Frage nachgegangen, welche Besonderheiten die Praxis der Unternehmensmitbestimmung in großen Genossenschaften kennzeichnen.
