Abstract

Die vorliegende Studie dient zur Vorbereitung des Fünften Tragfähigkeitsberichts des Bundesministeriums der Finanzen. Sie wurde vom ifo Institut - Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung an der Universität München e.V. in Kooperation mit der Ruhr-Universität Bochum erstellt. Ihre Aufgabe ist es, aus heutiger Sicht absehbare Effekte des demographischen Wandels mit Hilfe illustrativer Modellrechnungen abzuschätzen und daraus resultierende Risiken für die Tragfähigkeit der öffentlichen Finanzen in Deutschland aufzuzeigen.
