Schwächerer Aufschwung in tourismusintensiven Regionen. Die Wirtschaft in den Bundesländern 2021

Abstract

Österreichs Wirtschaft erholte sich 2021 spürbar von der COVID-19-Krise, wobei der Aufschwung in allen Bundesländern zu beobachten war. Dennoch beeinflussten die Nachwirkungen der Krise weiterhin das regionale Konjunkturbild: Die beiden tourismusintensivsten Bundesländer Tirol und Salzburg hinkten den anderen Bundesländern im Wachstum hinterher. Vom Aufschwung profitierten alle Wirtschaftsbereiche mit Ausnahme der Beherbergung und Gastronomie, sodass die Beschäftigung rasch wieder das Vorkrisenniveau erreichte – nur in Tirol, Salzburg und Vorarlberg war dies 2021 noch nicht der Fall.
