Die ökonomischen Auswirkungen einer Erhöhung der Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern

Abstract

Im Budgetentwurf des Bundes für 2021 wird die Steigerung der Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern nicht explizit als budgetpolitischer Schwerpunkt genannt, wenngleich die Gleichstellungsdefizite in Österreich nach wie vor hoch sind und ihre Verringerung zum wirtschaftlichen Erfolg eines Landes beitragen kann. Die Identifikation der Wirkung von gleichstellungspolitischen Maßnahmen auf Wertschöpfung und Beschäftigung erfordert eine Kombination von mikroökonomischen Methoden und makroökonomischen Gleichgewichtsmodellrechnungen. Die dafür notwendigen Datengrundlagen, die die Grundvoraussetzung sind, um empirische Evidenz zur Wirksamkeit von gesetzten Maßnahmen zu erhalten, fehlen allerdings oftmals.
