Die Effekte der EU-Osterweiterung in den Beitrittsländern. Evidenz auf Länder- und auf Unternehmensebene

Abstract

Die EU-Osterweiterung veränderte durch die Umsetzung des Acquis Communautaire in den Beitrittsländern das regulatorische Umfeld. Wie empirische Ergebnisse zeigen, wurde die pro-marktwirtschaftliche Regulierung, eine Säule des Reformprozesses in den früheren Planwirtschaften, durch den EU-Beitritt verbessert. Die Folge war eine Verringerung der Marktkonzentration. Die Produktivität erhöhte sich auf Unternehmensebene, und auch die Effizienz der Faktorallokation wurde gesteigert. Dies schlug sich letztlich in einem stärker innovations- als investitionsgetriebenen Wachstum nieder.
