Erwerbsbeteiligung und Alterssicherung. Auswirkungen der Arbeitsmarktentwicklung auf die Pensionsquote

Abstract

Die demographische Alterung der Bevölkerung wird häufig als Argument für die Notwendigkeit von Pensionsreformen herangezogen. In einem umlagefinanzierten Pensionssystem ist jedoch auch die Arbeitsmarktentwicklung von entscheidender Bedeutung: Ein kontinuierliches Beschäftigungswachstum ist ein Garant für die finanzielle Nachhaltigkeit des österreichischen Pensionssystems, weil die Pensionsquote dadurch langfristig gedämpft wird.
