Diferencias de ingreso entre hombres y mujeres en el Gran Santiago 1969 y 1981

Abstract

En este artículo se analizan las diferencias en los ingresos del trabajo de hombres y mujeres en los años 1969 y 1981, en Santiago de Chile, mediante la descomposición del diferencial en porciones atribuibles a productividad (medida en base a la teoría de capital humano) y a discriminación. La conclusión más importante es la imposibilidad de rechazar la hipótesis de que parte de este diferencial total de ingresos favorable a los hombres, se debe a discriminación.
