Aspects Of An Incremental Multi-Level Approach Of Management Games For Management Training: An Intermediary Report

Abstract

The paper presents the current stage of a complex research started in 2014, after two years of explorations. The purpose of it is to support the practical approach in management training processes at different levels by offering to both trainees and trainers valuable tools for simulation of relevant management situatons to be solved during training, teaching and learning processes. The final goal of the whole research work is an open framework consisting in a set of principles, ideas and eventually specifications for sustainable development and permanent updating of a multilevel, coherent management simulation. The openess makes that, based on the desires, recommendations and expertise of both students, scholars and specialists in management, the construction we commit to will be continuously updated and developed by different entities involved in management training. The research is conducted on two plans, a quantitative one, directed by the results of two surveys among the management students at Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and a qualitative one, based on a set of interviews with practicians, scholars and trainers in management Herein we present the progress of the research, the intermediary conclusions, the contributions brought since last progress report and practical directions for the next stages.
