Diferencial de rendimentos e orientação sexual na região Nordeste

Abstract

Este artigo tem o propósito de verificar se há ganhos diferenciados entre os trabalhadores da Região Nordeste dada sua orientação sexual. Para responder a essa questão, foram utilizados os dados do Censo 2010, que classifica os indivíduos por orientação sexual. Pelas estimações das regressões salariais, foi possível verificar que tanto gays quanto lésbicas possuem rendimentos mais elevados do que os heterossexuais. Pela análise da decomposição de Oaxaca-Blinder (1973), foi possível evidenciar que a maior parte dessa diferença é explicada pelos atributos observados dos homossexuais, entre eles, escolaridade e não há presença de componentes discriminatórios.
