Abstract

During the last ten or fifteen years, the macroeconometric methods have been deeply transformed. These developments have been made in various directions and the situation is now much more complicated than it was in the middle of the seventies. The aim of this article is to propose a brief description of this situation for people who are not specialists of econometric methodology. Among the various possible topics we found five of them particularly important: the VAR models, the nonstationary models, the ARCH models, the GMM models and the disequilibrium models.
