Nivel de Madurez en Sistemas de Gestión del Conocimiento en Instituciones de Educación Superior: Un Estudio de Caso desde un Enfoque Holístico

Abstract

Hoy en día, la Gestión del Conocimiento (GC) juega un papel importante en la competitividad y desempeño de las organizaciones. Con una implementación eficiente de la GC, las organizaciones pueden aprovechar los beneficios que brindan la generación y uso del conocimiento. Ello que conduce a mejorar su rendimiento, competitividad, y a alcanzar de forma efectiva sus objetivos. Un modelo de madurez de Gestión del conocimiento puede ayudar a las organizaciones a identificar el progreso del mismo y las mejoras a realizar. Posteriormente, con el estado actual de la técnica evaluada, se encuentra el camino hacia el siguiente nivel más alto de madurez en GC. El objetivo de la presente investigación es explorar el nivel de madurez alcanzado por la Universidad Simón Bolívar, Institución de Educación Superior pública venezolana, pionera en la implantación de la práctica de GC basado en un modelo holístico de madurez en sistema de GC. La investigación es de tipo exploratoria, de campo y prescriptiva. Se utilizó el método mixto, secuencial. La muestra estuvo conformada por 96 participantes (personal académico y de apoyo). Se concluye, que la Universidad Simón Bolívar se encuentra en el nivel 1 (no existe el deseo ni la voluntad de utilizar el conocimiento actual existente en la organización o es muy poca), transitando hacia el nivel 2 (la organización ha tomado conciencia e interés en torno al conocimiento, pero no sabe cómo hacerlo). Con base a los hallazgos, se hace una serie de recomendaciones para mejorar el nivel alcanzado.
