Abstract

[fre] Contrats de salaire, anticipations d'équilibre et persistance du chômage. . Ce texte montre que dans une économie où les salaires nominaux sont déterminés par des contrats qui ont un objectif d'équilibre anticipé et où il y a effet de persistance dynamique sur la demande de travail, la dynamique du chômage et celle du produit agrégé sont dissociées. La persistance du chômage est faible, le chômage n'étant pas affecté par des chocs passés précédant la négociation du plus ancien contrat en vigueur, tandis que la persistance du produit agrégé est forte, le produit étant affecté par tous les chocs antérieurs. Le modèle que nous développons dans ce texte peut aider à comprendre la situation économique de la plupart des pays Scandinaves ainsi que des États-Unis. This paper shows that in an economy where nominal wages are set by contracts that have an expected market-clearing objective and where labor demand adjusts only gradually, the dynamic behavior of output and unemployment will be very different. The persistence of unemployment is weak, unemployment being unaffected by shocks that occured before the oldest contract that is not expired yet, and the persistence of output is strong, output being affected by ail past shocks. The model presented in the paper could help to understand the economic situation of most scandinavian countries as well as that of the United States.
