Abstract

[fre] Boîte d'Edgeworth et théorie de la localisation. . L'introduction de l'espace dans la théorie économique soulève des difficultés particulières qui expliquent la construction de modèles spécifiques : la non-convexité des choix de localisation et la présence d'une infinité de biens sont, en particulier, des hypothèses habituelles en économie spatiale.. L'objet de cet article est de faire un tour d'horizon des principaux problèmes soulevés dans la littérature récente, relative à l'équilibre et à l'optimum, dans le cadre le plus simple : la boîte d'Edgeworth. [eng] Edgeworth box and location theory. . The introduction of space in economic theory raises several difficulties which explain the construction of specific models : in particular the non-convexity of location choices and the infinite number of goods are usual hypothesis in spatial economics.. The purpose of this paper is to present some problems discussed in the recent literature on spatial equilibrium and optimum, in the simplest framework : the Edgeworth box.
