Point de vue sur les recherches françaises en économie du travail

Abstract

[fre] Dans leur quasi-totalité, les recherches françaises récentes convergent sur un paradigme qui les éloigne assez largement des voies en honneur dans d'autres pays. Les systèmes et mouvements d'emploi — y compris le chômage — y voient en effet leur explication recherchée dans les comportements des entre­prises, qu'ils s'expriment aux niveaux micro ou macroéconomiques : la main-d'œuvre, active ou potentielle, s'y adapte ou y réagit. Dès lors, la théorisation des comportements individuels devient un objet mineur, en même temps que la volonté de « remonter » aux déterminants de la demande de travail conduit à des confrontations, parfois rudes et encore inégales, avec les macroéconomistes. Cette unité de vues frappante entre spécialistes de la discipline apparaît au total favorable à une avancée rapide et ordonnée de la connaissance. Le point de vue développé est étayé par la référence aux travaux récents de plusieurs dizaines d'équipes de recherche.
