Abstract

[fre] Modèles urbains dynamiques: étude critique. . [eng] Urban dynamic models : a critical view. . The article reviews the principal recent contributions to economic urban dynamics. The three possible approaches— theoretical models, computer simulations, urban econometrics— are carefully evaluated for their methodological virtues ant their operational value. A specifie model is completely analyzed. Suggestions are made as to future research lines that appear to be fruitful.
