Articulación, intercambios y necesidad de dineros alternativos en la economía regional. El caso de Cusco

Abstract

El artículo empieza dando cuenta del bloqueo y la subacumulación al nivel del espacio regional, mediante la caracterización de las relaciones mercantiles e intersectoriales, las dinámicas demográficas, sociales y productivas, así como de la articulación (¿desarticulación?) rural/urbana. A continuación se centra en la dinámica comercial de las ferias, y margina/mente del crédito, en una región intermedia: la Cuenca del Vilcanota. Es importante destacar que el dinero tiene varios roles y sirve a propósitos diferentes, según el espacio que se trate: no es lo mismo el dinero como capital cuyo espacio de reproducción es a escala regional, y que sirve a los propósitos del desarrollo centralista, que el dinero como medio de cambio o unidad de cuenta para la circulación simple de mercancías en espacios más pequeños (i.e. a escala local y micro-regional). Termina esbozando algunas conclusiones en función del objetivo planteado.
