Perspectivas de la centralización económica: un balance bibliográfico

Abstract

En este artículo se revisan los diferentes enfoques desarrollados para explicar el proceso de la centralización económica y la formación de grupos financieros. Se examina, en primer lugar, los puntos de vista empresariales que explican este fenómeno en base al temperamento empresarial. Se ve, a continuación, aquellas corrientes de pensamiento que analizan estos puntos desde la perspectiva de la empresa, examinando las contribuciones neoclásicas, institucionalistas, gerencialistas y neo-institucionalistas. En una tercera sección, el autor analiza algunas ideas económicas y sociológicas centradas alrededor de un vagamente formulado concepto de grupo. Se discute luego la teoría de Hilferding acerca ael capital financiero y los desarrollos posteriores que ésta ha tenido. El artículo con una discusión de los temas y de los problemas suscitados por esta bibliografía.
