Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyze the impact of performance management on the efficiency and professionalization of social work organizations, considering the specific challenges of this field. The study explores concepts such as goal setting, performance evaluation, feedback and recognition of merits, as well as new ethical and operational challenges. The methodology combines questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with employees and managers to collect data on their perceptions and experiences related to performance management. The data analysis highlights the challenges and methods used to optimize management processes in social work organizations. The conclusions emphasize the positive impact of performance management on organizational efficiency, emphasizing the importance of the balance between efficiency and ethical responsibility, and offer future research directions for the development of new evaluation methods adapted to the specifics of social interventions.
