Extending the dynamic capabilities framework: Pisano on choice, learning, and competition

Abstract

This short Comment looks at Gary Pisano's 2017 article in this Journal and its contribution to the literature on dynamic capabilities. The Comment focuses particularly on choice, learning, uncertainty and search issues along with some implications for the entrepreneur and the nature of the firm.
