A 2018-as labdarúgó-világbajnokság hatása a részt vevő labdarúgók értékére
[The impact of the 2018 World Cup on the value of participating football players]

Abstract

Tanulmányunk célja, hogy a világ egyik legnézettebb sportrendezvényének, a labdarúgó-világbajnokságnak egy különleges hatását számszerűsítse. A labdarúgók játékjoga a hivatásos labdarúgás értékes erőforrása, amelynek értéke egy nagy tornán részt vevő játékos esetében jelentős mértékben változhat az esemény hatására. Kutatásunkban arra a kérdésre keressük a választ, hogy a 2018-as FIFA labdarúgó-világbajnokság milyen módon hatott a tornán részt vevő legnépszerűbb öt bajnokság (angol, francia, német, olasz és spanyol) klubjai labdarúgóinak értékére. Adatbázisunkba több mint 20 változóhoz gyűjtöttünk 302 játékosra vonatkozó adatokat. Eredményeink szerint a világbajnokságon való részvétel elsősorban a csapatteljesítményen, a lőtt gólokon, a játszott perceken keresztül pozitívan és a sérülésen keresztül negatívan hat a játékosok értékére. Cikkünk egyrészt hozzájárul a hivatásos labdarúgók értékének meghatározását célzó kutatások szakirodalmának bővítéséhez, másrészt javaslatokat fogalmaz meg a futballvállalatok menedzsmentje számára, hogy hogyan viszonyuljanak a nagy tornákra kijutott válogatott játékosaik szerződéseihez.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: C50, Z20, Z22.
