Az intertemporális diszkontálási folyamatok jelentősége a fogyasztói döntésekben
[The importance of inter-temporal discounting processes to consumer decision-making]

Abstract

Tanulmányunkban négy intertemporális diszkontálási elmélet empirikus összehasonlítását végeztük el. Vizsgálatunkban hipotetikus döntési szituációban mértük a válaszadók leszámítolási rátáit, majd összevetettük az exponenciális, illetve háromféle hiperbolikus diszkontálási modell előrejelzéseivel. Adataink szerint a leszámítolási ráták aggregált átlagának előrejelzésében Loewenstein-Prelec [1992] hiperbolikus diszkontálási modellje volt a legpontosabb, míg az exponenciális modell bizonyult a leggyengébbnek. Eredményeink jelzik ugyan a hiperbolikus modellek előrejelző (és talán magyarázó) erejét, azonban nem meggyőző mértékben. Az exponenciális modell becslése is elfogadható hibahatárt nyújtott.
