Construcción del Índice de Cohesión Social para México: Una propuesta mediante un análisis de componentes principales

Abstract

Para la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), la cohesión social se debe constituir a través del crecimiento económico, la equidad social y la consolidación de la democracia. Como indicador, la cohesión social permite determinar el grado de desigualdad económica y social que existe dentro una sociedad. Por tal motivo, en el presente trabajo se ofrece una alternativa en la construcción de Índice de Cohesión Social de México a partir de los indicadores propuestos por tal organismo, en base a la Teorí a General de Sistemas y la técnica de análisis de componentes principales.
