Abstract

Useful decision aiding needs the analyst to communicate more effectively with the decision maker (more than with the typically less busy and more technical agent who hires the analyst). Howard (2004) makes some important contributions, but some of his terms, and his rejection of concepts he considers not worth naming, are questionable. I offer my own preferred terms for an expanded list of key decision-aiding concepts.
