Organisational culture and creative behaviour: moderating role of creative style preference

Abstract

Organisational creativity is an important element of organisational innovation. Creativity is considered to be a function of the creativity of the individual, groups and contextual factors. The present study examines the role of organisational culture on employees' involvement in creative behaviour and the moderating effect of creative style preference on the relationship between organisational culture and employees' creative behaviour. The results of the study indicated that positive impact of future oriented and innovative culture on employees' creative behaviour. The creative style preference significantly moderated the relationship between future oriented culture and conservative culture.
