Zur Einführung: Arbeitslosigkeit - nach wie vor ein Schlüsselthema der Sozialökonomik

Abstract

Der Beitrag führt in ein Schwerpunktheft zum Thema "Arbeitslosigkeit" ein. Der Autor stellt einige eher methodologische und wissenschaftsoziologische Überlegungen an, die von der aktuellen Aufmerksamkeit für die Arbeitsmarktentwicklung in der öffentlichen Debatte angesichts des Wiederanstiegs der Arbeitslosigkeit ausgehen. "Es geht dabei zugespitzt um die Schwierigkeit von Wissenschaft und Öffentlichkeit, das Arbeitslosigkeitsproblem zu erfassen und einzuordnen sowie um Überlegungen zu der Frage, ob 'Arbeitslosigkeit' denn nun das immer erklärte Schlüssel- oder doch eher ein Scheinproblem für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland sei."
