Il processo di selezione dei mercati esteri per le piccole e medie imprese

Abstract

Questo articolo prende in esame il tema dell?internazionalizzazione commerciale delle piccole e medie imprese (PMI), e in particolare il processo di selezione dei mercati esteri, su cui vi ? ancora carenza di contributi di ricerca. L?obiettivo del lavoro ? quello di analizzare il comportamento delle PMI cercando di capire se la selezione dei mercati esteri precede o segue la scelta della modalit? di entrata e quanto i due processi risultano fra loro collegati. L?analisi ? stata realizzata attraverso una ricerca empirica condotta su un campione di duecentoventidue PMI. I risultati hanno evidenziato delle discrepanze fra i contribu- ti teorici finora prodotti e il comportamento riscontrato, mostrando un approccio prevalentemente passivo e non strategico e una prevalente contestualit? fra selezione del mercato e scelta della modalit? di entrata.
