Abstract

This paper considers Chinese listed companies as samples and combines empirical analysis to explore the impact of cultural intellectual leadership (CIL) on corporate breakthrough innovation (BI). Empirical results confirm that CIL can promote BI by enterprises, affect BI differently in firms during various life cycles, and help enterprises improve the quality of their internal controls, thus promoting BI. Further, CIL can help companies increase cross-border investment, leading to BI.
