Novel robust stability analysis for uncertain neutral system with mixed delays

Abstract

This paper studies the problem of delay-dependent robust stability for uncertain neutral system with mixed delays. Based on a novel augmented Lyapunov functional approach and linear matrix inequality technology, a new delay-dependent stability condition is derived. Since no restriction on the derivative of the time-varying discrete delay is needed, the criteria proposed in this paper are less conservative than some previous approaches. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods and the influence of uncertainties to the stability of the neutral system.
