Abstract

This paper investigates the problem of successive lag synchronization for distributed-order multilayer neural networks with short-term memory characteristic. At first, a definition of distributed-order derivative with short-term memory is proposed to better describe the dynamic behavior of network nodes. Based on this definition, a distributed-order multilayer neural network model with short-term memory property is established. Subsequently, by employing the Laplace transform method, the short memory distributed-order Halanay-type inequality is derived. Furthermore, two sets of successive lag synchronization criteria for the considered system are obtained using a linear feedback controller and an adaptive controller, respectively. Finally, the validity of the conclusions is verified through two numerical examples.
