Abstract

Analiza el ajuste experimentado por los paises de America Latina. Sostiene que el caracter recesivo del mismo obedece sobre todo a la aguda escasez de financiamiento externo y que el logro de un ajuste eficiente y de una recuperacion oportuna y vigorosa depende en gran medida de reformas de las politicas crediticias de la comunidad financiera internacional que se traduzcan en el suministro de un financiamiento acorde tanto con el impacto que ejercen las perturbaciones externas sobre el balance de pagos de los paises deficitarios, como con la capacidad de estos de acomodar mermas reales del gasto sin perdidas de produccion.
