Ventajas competitivas de un centro comercial a partir de sus recursos

Abstract

En la actualidad, las personas pueden elegir dónde establecer su negocio, dada la oferta inmobiliaria existente, por lo que resulta necesario para el centro comercial desarrollar estrategias que le generen ventajas competitivas sostenibles. Dada la actividad comercial que se desarrolla en la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán, Mé-xico, y el ambiente de competencia, es conveniente analizar las estrategias de operación de los centros comerciales, así como los recursos que involucran. Este artículo analiza la opinión de seis locatarios de un centro comercial en relación con los recursos que este posee y utiliza durante su gestión, qué estrategias desarrolla a partir de ellos y qué ventajas competitivas genera. Se elaboró un estudio de caso que tomó como unidad de análisis un centro comercial de la ciudad de Mérida. Los resultados muestran que el centro estudiado basa sus estrategias en sus recursos tangibles, pues son valiosos, raros e inimitables, y potenciales creadores de ventajas competitivas sostenibles
