Los ciclos del empleo regional en Colombia: dependencia interregional 2001-2006

Abstract

Este trabajo estudia las relaciones de interdependenciaque presentan los ciclos del empleo de cadauna de las trece áreas metropolitanas incluidas enla encuesta continua de hogares (ECH) frente a lasdemás áreas incluidas en la misma encuesta. El usode modelos VAR irrestrictos permitió identificaraquellas ciudades cuyos ciclos de empleo se adaptanmás rápidamente al ciclo agregado de las demásciudades a nivel nacional o a los ciclos agregadosde las ciudades afines. Se concluyó, además, quealgunas ciudades dentro del grupo preceden estadísticamenteel comportamiento del resto del grupolo que podría ser útil para medir indicadores laboralesen ciudades donde no se han implementadolas encuestas de hogares.
