Die Berufslandschaft in Österreich 1991-2001

Abstract

Der Beitrag beschreibt und analysiert den Wandel der Österreichischen Berufsstruktur in den neunziger Jahren anhand der Daten der Volkszählungen 1991 und 2001. Insgesamt bestand eine Tendenz zu Berufen mit höheren Anforderungen an Bildung. Im Großen und Ganzen galt der Zusammenhang: je höher der für eine Berufsgruppe erforderliche Bildungsabschluss, desto günstiger die Beschäftigungsentwicklung. Der Anteil hoch qualifizierter Wissensbearbeiterinnen (Führungskräfte, Akademische Berufe sowie Technische und nichttechnische Fachkräfte, nichtakademische Lehrkräfte) an der Gesamtzahl der Erwerbspersonen stieg am weitaus stärksten. Der Anteil der Erwerbspersonen in Dienstleistungsberufen an der Gesamtzahl der Erwerbspersonen stieg von 65,6% (1991) auf 73,4% (2001). Eine Komponentenzerlegung der Änderungen der Beschäftigung zwischen 1991 und 2001 auf der Ebene der Wirtschaftsklassen und der Berufsgruppen ergibt, dass 43,8% aller Beschäftigungsänderungen auf den Brancheneffekt und 43,6% auf den Berufseffekt zurückgingen (lnteraktionseffekt 12,6%). Gegenüber den siebziger und achtziger Jahren hat die Bedeutung des Berufseffekts somit zugenommen. Der Anteil der Informationsbearbeiterinnen an der Gesamtzahl der Berufstätigen stieg zwischen 1991 und 2001 sehr stark, nämlich von 32,6% auf 40,3%.
