Entwicklung der deutschen Investitionstätigkeit imeuropäischen Vergleich: Die Rolle von Preis- undMengeneffekten

Abstract

Seit der Jahrtausendwende wird in Deutschland die im internationalen Vergleich schwache Investitionsentwicklung beklagt. Allerdings wird in der Diskussion häufig nur die nominale Investitionsquote betrachtet, d.h. der Anteil der nominalen Investitionen am nominalen Bruttoinlandsprodukt. Hierin enthaltene Preis­entwicklungen verdecken jedoch die reale Investitionstätigkeit. Zerlegt man die Veränderungsrate der deutschen Investitionsquote in Preis- und Mengeneffekte und vergleicht sie mit der Entwicklung in den Ländern der Europäischen Union seit 1996, zeigt diese Analyse, dass in Deutschland spätestens seit der Finanzkrise eine vergleichsweise positive Entwicklung stattgefunden hat. Während sich Investitionen in Ausrüstungen und Geistiges Eigentum im Zeitraum 2007–2014 ähnlich wie im Zeitraum 1996–2007 entwickelt haben, ist der Zuwachs bei den Bauinvestitionen zuletzt größer als in den meisten EU-Mitgliedstaaten.
