Zunehmende Altbauerneuerung bringt Europas Bauwirtschaft auf moderaten WachstumskursAusgewählte Ergebnisse der Euroconstruct-Winterkonferenz 2005

Abstract

Nach den aktuellen Prognosen zur Entwicklung der Bautätigkeit in den 19 Mitgliedsländern des Euroconstruct-Netzwerks wird für 2006 eine Zunahme des europäischen Bauvolumens um etwa 1½% erwartet, die Aufwärtsentwicklung gewinnt aber 2007 und im Ausblick auf 2008 voraussichtlich an Dynamik (jeweils fast + 2%). Dies ist eines der Ergebnisse der 60. Euroconstruct-Konferenz, die Ende 2005 in Barcelona stattfand. Getragen wird dieses Bauwachstum vor allem von Großbritannien und Spanien, aber außer aus Frankreich und Polen kommen auch aus den Niederlanden sowie aus Deutschland - nach langen Jahren mit rückläufigem Bauvolumen - wieder signifikant hohe absolute Wachstumsbeiträge. Der Wohnungsneubau dämpft im gesamten Prognosezeitraum das Expansionstempo, wohingegen der Nichtwohnhochbau und vor allem der Tiefbau deutlich höhere und steigende Zuwachsraten erreichen dürften. In den Prognosen für das jetzt laufende Jahr und für 2007 sowie im Ausblick auf 2008 wird in den beiden Hochbausparten eine beschleunigte Ausweitung der Altbauerneuerung erwartet, so dass hiervon nicht nur stützende, sondern das Gesamtaggregat stimulierende Wirkungen ausgehen. Nach den aktualisierten Vorausschätzungen trägt der Bausektor im Prognosezeitraum zwar in beachtlichem Umfang zum gesamtwirtschaftlichen Wachstum in Europa bei, das Wachstum bleibt jedoch bis 2008 hinter den Zuwachsraten der Gesamtwirtschaft zurück.
