Kaum mehr als ein Strohfeuer – Evaluationsstudien zu Abwrackprämien im Überblick

Abstract

Wir geben einen Überblick über Studien zur Wirkung von Abwrack- und Kaufprämien für Autos. Diese Prämien kurbeln kurzfristig die Autoverkäufe an. Mittelfristig werden aber kaum mehr Autos verkauft. Viele Verbraucher hätten sich ohnehin ein Auto gekauft, ziehen den Kauf durch die Prämie vor, oder geben nach dem Autokauf weniger Geld für andere Konsumgüter aus. Die Umweltwirkung von Kaufprämien ist unklar.
