Das neue ifo Geschäftsklima Ostdeutschland und Sachsen: Hintergründe und Anpassungen

Abstract

Zum April 2018 modernisierte das ifo Institut die Berechnungsregeln für sein vielbeachtetes Geschäfsklima. Damit trägt es der gestiegenen Bedeutung des Dienstleistungssektors Rechnung. Zudem wurden das Aggregationsverfahren geringfügig vereinfacht und das Basisjahr für die Indexberechnung von 2005 auf 2015 umgestellt. Diese Änderungen haben auch Auswirkungen auf die ifo Geschäfsklimaindizes für Ostdeutschland und Sachsen, ihre Teilindizes sowie die Vergleichbarkeit zu den Indizes für Deutschland insgesamt. Die grundlegenden konjunkturellen Aussagen bleiben indes unverändert.
