Rückwanderung von Beschäftigten nach Ostdeutschland: Räumliche Muster undsoziodemographische Strukturen

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag präsentiert neue und umfangreiche empirische Befunde zur Rückwanderung von Beschäftigten nach Ostdeutschland. Die intensivsten Wanderungsverflechtungen bestanden dabei mit den wirtschaftsstarken Bundesländern Bayern und Baden-Württemberg. Eine kleinräumige Betrachtung macht deutlich, dass die Kreise in sehr unterschiedlicher Weise von Ab- und Rückwanderungen betroffen sind. Rückwanderung als konkrete Maßnahme zur Stabilisierung des Arbeitsmarktes in Ostdeutschland ist nur dann erfolgversprechend, wenn die Zurückgekehrten nicht nur ihren Wohnort, sondern auch ihren Arbeitsort in Ostdeutschland haben.
