Gründungsneigung in Ostdeutschland weiterhin geringer als im Westen

Abstract

Die Neigung zu unternehmerischer Selbstständigkeit ist in den ostdeutschen Flächenländern deutlich geringer als in Westdeutschland. Wenn sich hieran nichts ändert, droht vielen Unternehmen in Ostdeutschland in den kommenden Jahren demographiebedingt die Schließung. In diesem Artikel werden Ursachen der geringeren Gründungsintensitäten in Ostdeutschland aufgezeigt und mögliche Ansatzpunkte für wirtschaftspolitische Gegenmaßnahmen diskutiert.
