Sachsen und seine internationalen Gäste – Wo kommen sie her?

Abstract

Die Tourismusstrategie Sachsen 2020 legte im Jahr 2011 wichtige Quellmärkte für den Tourismus in Sachsen fest. Dabei wurde sich vorwiegend auf diejenigen Länder konzentriert, welche die größten absoluten Ankünfte in Sachsen besitzen. Allerdings wäre es ebenfalls möglich, diese Strategie insofern zu erweitern, als dass auch weitere Faktoren bei der Bestimmung der Quellmärkte eine Rolle spielen (z. B. die Bevölkerungszahl, die Anzahl der Auslandsreisen und die Entfernung der jeweiligen Länder). Eine Gegenüberstellung alternativer Bestimmungsmethoden von Quellmärkten macht deutlich, dass Unterschiede in der Rangfolge der wichtigsten touristischen Märkte be stehen und somit eine noch zielorientiertere Bewerbung dieser möglich wäre.
